August 2021 – Drexel L. Smith is recognized as West Covina, California Citizen of the Year – 2021. Smith was honored at the annual Summer Fest Banquet hosted by the Historical Society of West Covina for his would supporting the community and philanthropic work locally and internationally.

June 2020 – Drexel Consulting Group, LLC was once again recognized as ‘Best Business Consultant’ in 2020” This marks the seventh consecutive year the Drexel Consulting Group, LLC has been selected as the ‘Best’ qualifying the firm for the ‘Hall of Fame’ of best consultants.

Drexel L. Smith is appointed as chief Advisor to Launch Tech Holding, inc. serving in a senior executive project management role overseeing the development of Management Advisory & Technical Advisory Teams (MAG & TAG Teams) with a charge to develop demonstration/validation tasks confirming capability of new space-launch concepts.

June 2019 – Drexel L. Smith joint Rotary’s ‘Rotaplast’ Team Arusha ‘19 composed of 15 Medical and 9 Non-Medical Volunteer Team members with a mission of eliminating/and or minimizing the burden of cleft lip and/or palate, burn scarring, and other deformities. Over two weeks the team performed over 90 surgical procedures on 61 patients that were life changing. Smith’s role was to photo document all patients before during and post surgical procedures, and document the teams work during the two week mission. Over the two weeks Smith created a daily blog of the teams activities, authored stories on several patients and created a final PowerPoint presentation at the end for use by Team members to assist in telling the story to community & service groups supporting donations for future missions.

June 2018 – Drexel Consulting Group, LLC recognized as ‘Best Business Consultant’ in 2018” This marks the fifth consecutive year the Drexel Consulting Group, LLC has been selected as the ‘Best’ qualifying the firm for the ‘Hall of Fame’ of best consultants.

January 2016 – Drexel L. Smith appointed to serve on the Citrus Valley Health Partners Foundation Board of Trustees.  Citrus Valley is the parent of Queen of the Valley; Intercommunity and Foothills campus hospitals in the San Gabriel Valley east of Los Angeles.

December 2015 – Drexel awarded the 2015 Honorary EDI Media Commentator award for providing relevant and insightful commentary

March 2015 – Drexel Consulting Group, LLC holds 7^th– Year Anniversary Celebration – ‘The enterprise has continued to grow supporting new start companies and selected non-profit organizations and strategic partners.

January 2015 – Drexel L. Smith appointed to serve on the City of West Covina’s General Plan update focus-group committee’s representing the ‘Downtown Glendora Avenue Business’s.
